History:

Fotterapeutforbundet was founded in 1952 and currently has about 900 members and students. Our members are authorized podiatrists and subject to the Health Care Act. More information

Education Process- Middle school Footerapeuter
Years/Hours:- 2y middle school + possibility 30 ECTS biomechanical therapy
Degree:- Authorization as a 'Fotterapeuter'
Continuous education mandatory:- no

Recognition

Governemental recognition:
Allowing foreign podiatrists- Those who are trained in Europe must apply to (SAK) the state of Norway.
- Those who come from outside the EU must also seek (SAK), but they must take exams in parts of the subject.
- They must work under Norwegian regulations
