The theme “Show Me the Evidence” has become more appropriate; with funders, policy makers and curriculums demanding and driving evidence-based best practice, and patients becoming more astute in their demand for key health decisions that affect their well-being.
PASA is hugely excited to introduce Professor David Armstrong as the keynote speaker. Prof Armstrong will certainly fit the theme with over 480 peer reviewed articles and over 80 book chapters. Prof Armstrong is an internationally renowned Podiatrist whose expertise and knowledge crosses medical disciplines in a manner that guides the prevention, management and salvage of the lower limb and diabetic foot, irrespective of the discipline you practice.
The role of PASA in the diabetic foot and its management cannot be emphasized enough – offering leadership, care co-ordination and an inimitable role in the prevention and remission of costly, burdensome and deadly complications of this global pandemic.
With that in mind, it was decided to open the Congress to all disciplines that are involved in the management of the diabetic foot and PASA is looking forward to a multidisciplinary Congress with a focus on the diabetic foot.
