Education Process- Podology school
- After high school you can start the study after the first year.
Years/Hours:- 1000 Hours practical at hospital, medical practice or podology practice
- 2000 Hours practical and theoretical at school
- 3 years BScPod and the CP
Degree:- Bachelor
Continuous education mandatory:- 12 points per year (if podiatrists therapy is covered by health insurance),
- private patients only: none, but ethical voluntary obligation/ code of conduct

Governemental recognition:- State law (PodG) since 02 January 2002
- (Lower Saxony since 21 February 1983)
- (Bavaria since 23 April 1993)
- (Baden Württemberg since 01 Januari 1990)
- (Saxony-Anhalt since 27 August 1996)

Allowing foreign podiatrists- The Government decides on application
- Anerkennungstelle Fuer Auslaendische Berufsabsschhluesse: they will not allow podiatrists to do surgery in Germany as a Podologist
- Guideline 2005/36/EG conform
- Language test is required
